3×3 Leagues
Fast Ice. Quick Decisions. Real Development.
3x3 Leagues
Registration for spring 4v4 (A - AA mites) and 3v3 (AAA mites, squirts-adult) opens up December 8, 2025!
Games are fast-paced, high-touch, and designed to develop hockey IQ, creativity, and confidence. Each 50-minute session includes a three-minute warm-up, 45-minute game run time, and a two-minute wrap-up. The program runs for 12 weeks, with each team playing one game per week. Final schedules will be released once registration ends on February 15, 2026.
Cost
The cost is $360 per player, which includes all league fees, game referees, and a reversible jersey (Please review the size chart below. You will have to choose a size for your player when you register). If your player chooses to play in another 3x3 league and their reversible jersey still fits, the cost will be $330. Jerseys will be available at your first skate and jersey numbers are selected at random.

Important Requirements:
- Players must have previous skating experience.
- Players must be able to stand on their own and get on and off the ice independently
- For players new to skating, Learn to Skate opportunities will be available this summer and fall.
- Each team must have a coach or adult volunteer open the bench door for players during the game.
Note: Weekday games run from 4:15 p.m. to 10:05 p.m., and weekend games run from 8 a.m. to 9:50 p.m. High School 3v3 will take the earliest weekday slot at 4:15 p.m., while the Adult League and High School League will likely take the latest slot at 9:15 p.m. on both weekdays and weekends. Earlier game times are generally reserved for younger players. Game dates and times will be released once teams are formed and registration ends on February 15, 2026.
Game Format
3v3 hockey is played with three skaters and a goalie on the ice at one time. With more open ice, players get more puck touches, improve their decision-making, and develop faster skills in a fun, high-tempo environment. 4v4 hockey adds one more skater per side, balancing space and competition—ideal for younger players transitioning into full-ice play.

Registration Details
Group registration will be open December 8 - 26, 2025. If your level has no available team spots, email info@ninehockey.com to join the waitlist. Include your name and team level. Based on team numbers, we may add teams to other levels.
Individual registration opens January 1, 2026 if openings still remain to form teams. Registration closes February 15, 2026. The program begins March 2, 2026, and runs through May 31, 2026. When registering, please specify what level you player recently complected, what position your player has played, and if there is interest in being a goalie. Teams are formed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that payment is due at registration. You will be reimbursed if there are not enough players to form a team. Teams may have to be capped at certain levels of play to ensure equal playing days across all skill levels.
Note: If registration indicates that the league is full, you are encouraged to join a waitlist. There may be opportunities for additional teams at different levels of play if other leagues are short players, which could allow waitlisted teams or players to take an available spot.

Level Placement
When registering as an individual or if you are a coach registering your team, please select the level that corresponds to the last level of play your player(s) participated in during the 2025–2026 season. The designations A, AA, and AAA represent different competitive levels of youth hockey. “A” typically refers to developing or entry-level travel hockey, “AA” is an intermediate competitive level, and “AAA” is the highest level of travel or tier hockey. For example, if your player was a second-year Supermite at the end of the 2025–2026 season, they would likely sign up for Mite AAA. If your player was a Squirt C or B, they would likely sign up for Squirt AA. If your player was a Squirt A or AA, they would likely sign up for Squirt AAA.
Equipment and Uniforms
Once registration ends on February 15, 2026, you will receive an email with more information on your team, including days and times of play. Players will be provided with a jersey to wear during all games. Players must provide all other hockey gear, including skates, socks, shin pads, breezers, shoulder and chest protectors, elbow pads, gloves, stick, mouth guards, and a protective neck garment. If you have a mite or squirt level player interested in playing goalie and do not have goalie gear, nine HOCKEY does have gear available to borrow—please inquire.
