LEE is a dedicated goaltending coach with a passion for helping athletes build confidence, efficiency, and strong fundamentals. A USA Hockey Level 4 coach with Gold Goaltending certification, Lee currently serves as the goaltending coach for Rochester Mayo High School and works with the Minnesota Mavericks AAA program, in addition to supporting offseason training and evaluations.
Lee brings a deep love of the game and a commitment to developing the next generation of hockey players. His path began at age 10 in roller hockey before transitioning to ice, competing in Michigan and on the East Coast. He continued playing as an adult, gaining valuable experience alongside high-level players and coaches, which continues to shape his development approach today.
Since beginning his coaching career in 2016, Lee has worked with goalies from youth through high school across multiple programs, including the Kansas City Youth Hockey Association, KC Mavericks and Saints Travel, KC Jr. Mavericks, and KC Wolfpack (roller hockey). He has also contributed as a goalie evaluator for CCM High Performance Section tryouts.
Specializing in skating, positioning, rebound control, and game awareness, Lee leverages his background as a dual-position player to develop well-rounded, technically sound goalies. Known for his creative, purposeful drills, he emphasizes proper mechanics, player safety, and helping athletes understand the “why” behind their development, equipping goalies with the tools they need to improve and succeed at the next level.
