nine HOCKEY’s 3v3 and 4v4 leagues are designed to maximize puck touches, improve decision-making, and build confidence in a fast-paced, competitive environment. With more open ice and constant action, players develop creativity, hockey IQ, and skills that translate directly to full-ice play.
Each game is played in a high-energy format that keeps players moving, engaged, and improving every shift.
Visit League Rules for more information.
Games are played in a 50-minute session:
- 3-minute warm-up
- 45-minute running-time game

Summer/Fall 2026 Registration Information
Registration Window:
Opens Monday, April 6, 2026 (Mites-Bantams)
Closes Wednesday, May 6, 2026
High School Coaches, please email Tim@ninehockey.com for details on registration dates
Team registration is first-come, first-served. Forming and registering teams early helps us build schedules sooner.
Each team must have a team organizer who will complete the registration and invite players by sending email invitations to parents/supervisors. The organizer will be listed as the “Coach” during registration, but this does not mean they are required to coach during games.
A parent or supervisor must be on the bench for each game. This can be any volunteer and does not have to be the team organizer.

Team Placement
When forming teams, please place players at the level you anticipate they will play at this coming fall in their home association.
Scheduling Policy
To best accommodate all teams, fixed game days will not be assigned for the season.
Game schedules will be created after registration is complete, with the goal of providing balanced and consistent play across all divisions.
If a scheduled game conflicts with your team’s availability, the following rescheduling process will apply:
- Contact us to request alternate game dates
- We will provide 3 to 4 available options
- Coaches are responsible for communicating with the opposing team to agree on a new date
- Once both teams agree, nine HOCKEY will confirm and update the schedule
This approach allows for flexibility while ensuring scheduling remains fair and manageable for all teams.
Additional Scheduling Notes
We understand summer and fall are busy seasons. Players are encouraged to attend as many games as they can. If a player needs to miss a game due to other commitments, that is completely okay.
Discounts
- Goalies receive 50% off the player price
- Families registering multiple players receive a 10% discount (applied at checkout)
To receive a goalie discount code, email rachel@ninehockey.com before registering.
Jerseys
Jerseys are not included this season.
Players who need a jersey can purchase one for $30 at their first game. If your player needs a for this season, please review the size chart below. We recommend measuring the last jersey your player used and comparing it to the size chart.)
Jersey numbers are assigned randomly.

Payment and Registration Cancellation Insurance
ALL SALES ARE FINAL, except in the event nine HOCKEY cancels a program without the option to reschedule.
nine HOCKEY does not offer refunds for participant cancellations. To help protect families from unforeseen circumstances, nine HOCKEY has partnered with Vertical Insure to offer optional Registration Protection at an additional cost equal to 7% of the program fee.
Registration Protection may provide reimbursement of eligible registration fees (minus a 2% transaction fee) if participation is prevented due to a covered reason such as injury, illness, or transportation difficulty, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions. Coverage determinations are made solely by Vertical Insure.
Registration Protection has no deductible. Questions regarding coverage should be directed to support@verticalinsure.com.
Important Requirements:
- Players must have previous skating experience.
- Players must be able to stand on their own and get on/off the ice independently.
- Learn to Skate opportunities will be offered this summer and fall.
- Each team must have a coach or adult volunteer to open the bench door during games.
Game Format
3v3:
Three skaters and a goalie on the ice at one time. More open ice means more touches, better decision-making, and faster skill development.
